Rolas Students Attend All It Takes Leadership Training
Celerity Rolas middle school students had the opportunity to attend the Youth Leadership Training program sponsored by the All It Takes Foundation. It was a three-day training involving five different middle schools from vastly differing school settings, cultures, and social economic status. These students started the weekend as strangers, and they finished it as lifelong friends.
The purpose of this leadership camp was to impact the way youth feel about themselves and others, along with their responsibility to take ownership of their lives and the planet. Our Rolas Scholars were empowered to develop themselves as bold compassionate leaders.
Specifically, our Rolas Scholars left the camp with:
- greater confidence, self-efficacy, and independent decision-making skills.
- the tools and commitment to engage in positive action to reduce unkind and hurtful behaviors.
- a greater tolerance for others.
- a high level of empathy and care for self, each other and their environment.
